this was my car in college - a '68 chevy bel air. even though the right front end was smashed in, it was the driver's side door that wouldn't open. i took out the back seat so i could slide my rhodes in easier. i ran over a drunk guy in the middle of the day in downtown akron in this car. he lived. i didn't get in trouble. he was drunk. i was in a band called, third plane, that was fairly infamous. we played in a club called, the bauhaus. i lived across the street in an office with the drummer from the band. my bed was in the powder room of the women's bathroom which i used for a closet. the jazz club in town was called, schwanies. it's long gone and a great new club has opened called, blu jazz. this will be my first concert in akron in 25 years.
